[22:04] The regent goes home, he had a good time but it's time for his nap [22:04] * Jynaru grabs a nice stiff drink and tosses it back, watching the Regent leave. I was under the impression it was mostly a challenge between practioners of the art." [22:06] * Vanal looks at Ari "And for what it's worth dearie...you've got a nicer butt." [22:07] "Also if the trick causes random heart attacks."" [22:07] * Nika has by the way been unsuccesfully trying to find a quiet part of the party or at the very least a nice singer to listen to [22:08] * *Ari* seems happy and starts feeding vanal some grapes. [22:09] * Jynaru shrugs lightly, enjoying the greater range of movement in the relaxed muscles. "Be a shame if that was all. I'd hate to think all that time studying the art was wasted when sticking an arrow in me would have done the same thing." [22:09] Well Nika, you can either stay down on the fourth or fifth floors (which are pretty quiet) or you can sit by Cicada or the huge band outside... other than that there's a few minstreals playing around. Also, as a challenge, it's highly impersonal." [22:11] * Tabius bows to his all but betrothed and heads off to one of the balchanies to talk with Grenlin. [22:12] "Never mind. [22:13] Cicada only glimpses Tabius' female companion for an instant before she is lost in the crowd. [22:13] * Nika comandeers a minstrel and starts a lovely western folk song about a fishermen who could never catch any fish till he saved a shipwrecked sailor who turned out to be a spirit in disguise and blessed him with unerring fish sense [22:13] "Don't have the inclination to waste my time on some sorcerer who delights in hopping about in shadows casting spells of annoyance." [22:13] [good taste :)] [22:13] * Cicada looks after Tabius and his companion for a second, her stomach turning for some reason to ice. [22:14] * *Sanyet* wobbles off to look over the edge of the balcony, then turns and takes Cicada's hand gently. [22:14] * Cicada then turns smilingly back to Sanyet. "So, where have you been? Found something interesting?" [22:15] Unfortunately, Nika is accosted by his ex-wife. Or at least, she THINKS she's his ex-wife. sad how insane people can get. [22:15] <*Sanyet*> "Yes.. well.. I thought so.. The people here sure are quick." [22:15] * Tabius once in a location where its hard if not impossible to overhear a conversation, "So are there many that are like you?' [22:16] "I mean of the kind that are self taught, it was difficult enough to be tought." [22:16] * Cicada blinks... He couldn't possibly mean... [22:16] <*Grenlin*> "I don't know.. I've never asked anyone before." [22:17] * *Sanyet* shifts back and forth uncomfortably. [22:17] "I see.... Good to hear you are beginning to enjoy the place." [22:17] "I... I was very worried... that.. that you'd be lonely..." [22:17] * Tabius chuckles a little bit and smiles, "Are you in need of any standerdized writtings on the subject, that I could find for you?" [22:18] * Jynaru scans the room. "So, do you dance?" [22:18] <*Sanyet*> "Well..." he looks very uncreatain. "I am beginning to think this isn't as great a place as it looks." [22:19] <*Raziel*> "Well, I'm afraid I'm not THAT good." [22:19] * Jynaru stands, cracking his neck a little. "Since I've gotten the feeling back in most of my limbs, care to try?" [22:20] She does.. and time passes. [22:20] * Nika is sorely tempted to use corrupted words on the shrew and be done with it, but finnaly gives in and stays by her side the rest of the night [22:22] The party lasts most of the day, and well into the night, when you're beginning to get rather tired of the whole thing. It seems that Ari's "\performance art" display just had to happen.. and the massive fireworks display is rather nice.. but before long, you're beginning to think the Regent's nap was the best idea. [22:23] The people keep changing off.. [22:23] There's no way to keep up with these people because they're different people! [22:23] * Vanal yawns [22:23] * Tabius becomes very bored quickly after his conversation with Grenlin twiddles out. [22:23] You're all crashed in a quiet corner of the fifth floor, trying to get the rhythmic sound of people dancing out of year ears. [22:24] * Jynaru ruminates on how similar dancing and the martial arts are. Except the one aims to kill others through jealousy as opposed to lack of blood. [22:24] * Cicada has been dancing with Sanyet, Jynaru, armwrestled Vanal onto the floor, Sanyet again, a few of the random admirers for courtesy's sake, more Sanyet, Nika, still more Sanyet, Jyn, again Sanyet. [22:24] * Cicada is getting tired. And she was even convinced to play some more. [22:24] Sanyet, Grenlin, Raziel, Nika's "ex-wife", and a few others [Jynaru's dad] are hiding out with you and a bucket full of champagne. She's wearing a blue-and-green dress, which is only showing about half of her skin, and some light armor is lying in a corner of the room.
