In the dark water you can make out her graceful sillhoette (sp) outlined in glowing blue essence [21:32] Tei, you see Tabius and Cicada slowly swimming towards the glow, which appears to be backing away [21:32] [anima 3] [21:33] * Jynaru heads for the light, swimming rapidly as bubbles float away from his feet, with little specks of flame inside them. [21:33] * Tabius kicking his legs in unisen and with his outstretched sword as a forward rudder goes speeding through the watter after the "object". [21:33] * Tei ignores them and contunues heading for the lights [21:34] as you approach the source of light further, you see that whatever it is, it is like two glowing wings flapping slowly.. it is too murky to tell anything more [21:34] As Tala swims her movements continue to have a ritual nature to them [21:34] * Cicada just sticks as close to Tabius as she can, trying to watch his flanks. [21:35] * Jynaru nocks the bow and holds it straight out in front of him. [21:35] Cicada, you see Tei swim by [21:36] * Cicada considers flipping a coin... [21:36] flipping a coin underwater is a trial in futility :) [21:36] [Where is Tei heading, and where is Tabius?] [21:36] Tei, you approach closer, and see a glittering form clad in golden essence [21:37] (next turn) [21:38] * Tala tries to motion for the others to swim downward, while maintaining her ritual movements [21:38] * Tei circles the form following it wherever it's headed [21:38] * Cicada is full of uncertainity about the safety of Tei, and so with a kick in the water she turns and follows him, leaving Tabius to swim on his own. [21:39] Tei, the glowing person is clad in golden armor and a sword, and is circling to keep it between you and her [21:39] it seems roughly humanoid [21:39] (*Would seriously like to have a good desk of what he sees and where he is relative to others. [21:40] Tabius is floating in murky water roughly a quarter of the way between minnow and the glowing bird-type thing, which you can just barely see [21:40] Cicada is 3/4 of the way to it [21:40] Tei is past it, at 120 degree angle (0 degrees pointing towards you) on your left [21:41] it seems to be following his movements [21:41] about 10' below the glowing eagle and being-in sword and armor, tala and jynaru are floating [21:41] * Tabius wonders if the glowing object could be a guardian of some tpye, but eh. [21:41] * Tei stops to see what the glowing thingey wants [21:41] The motives of the glowing thingy is impossible to decipher, seeing how it is completely hidden within it's golden armor [21:42] However it seems content with keeping between you and it [21:42] (*Glowing Eagle?) It is most likely the empress, after all. Just holds up her hands in a gesture of peace, hope she recognize her. Cic then points towards the surface as a suggestion to get out. [22:05] (*Discern) [22:06] Tala the creature's essence has already dispersed due to Jynaru's killing it, so you gain no essence [22:06] you don't know Tabius, you never had a chance to examine them prior to the possession [22:06] (When there's something straaange, in the neighborhoooood, who you gonna call?) [22:07] * Tala just wants to make sure the spirit is gone and dispersed [22:07] Tala, if you had struck the killing blow, then yes.. but you didn't. so it might still come back. [22:13] * Tala notices Cicada and her eyes widen, her expression softer [22:13] * Jynaru gestures with the bow. [22:14] "Go, quickly! the way we came" [22:14] it is still pitch black, you can't see anything except your animas [22:14] Minnow shakes her head and nods, concentrating as she begins to cast another spell [22:14] [don't I have night vision?] [22:15] Tei, that doesn't help here. you konw it's all inky blackness [22:15] * Jynaru will do so, swiming as fast as he can, speeding through the water like a torpedo. [22:16] * Tala realizes the others can't see [22:16] the spell completes.. and you materialize at the mouth of the cove, covered with black goo [22:17] * Tei rmoves the goo as fast as possible [22:17] Sanyet is watching from shore, and gives a shout as you materialize in front of him, plopping into the water. however the empress is not with you., [22:17] * Jynaru stops. "Oh, dammit....." [22:17] "get the sludge off quick, it's mildly hallucinogenic" [22:18] * Tala washes off the sludge [22:18] * Cicada was kind of haning on to the empress, she not there either? [22:18] * Tabius burns the sludge off with 5 essence into his anima, still holding his breath. [22:18] * Jynaru pours the goo out of his quivers and then attends to cleansing himself. [22:18] No cicada, you are now back, but your lungs are still full of water [22:19] * Cicada is lying on the ground coughing up water. [22:19] "We're missing someone... Minnow? What happened?" [22:19] Sanyet runs to cicada, worried as she falls down coughing up water [22:20] * Jynaru wrings the water out of his hair as he waits for teh answer. [22:21] She is cleaning off the goo. "The spell only brings back those who it brought in the first place..." [22:21] "The essence of the whole sanctum was tainted. The current of the essence flow in there was like a whirlpool flowing down into that other exit - the crack at the bottom." [22:21] "Well, dammit, how do we get her out?" [22:21] "Somebody will have to go back for her.." [22:21] * Tabius looks at Tei. [22:21] "What?!" [22:21] "The point was to save the frigging Empress." [22:22] "I can go back in whenever I like." "Well, then get to it, man! If Tala's right, there's some sort of demon whirpool, and I'd rather not have demon empress like we tried to stop in the first place." [22:30] When Tabius and Tei materialize back underwater, they easily see the flailing solar empress, trying to get out [22:30] everything but her glowing radiance is darnkess...
