[21:25] Tabius, and Maris, you see the guards have retaken their position, and the four others who do not guard actively are leaving, going up to deck [21:25] Tei is standing in front of his door, rubbing his arm, and speaking in a voice barely loud enough to fear. [21:25] then he stops, and returns to his room. [21:25] * Maris looks to tabius, "Fool tried to get me to turn on you guys." [21:26] * Maris decides to go upstairs and get some air. [21:26] * Tabius looks at Maris, "Again?" [21:26] The guard stops Maris, looking at you harshly [21:26] His steel-plated fist barring your path [21:27] "Remain in your room." [21:28] the guard who was closest to Tei before he entered his room looks at Tabius. "Remain in your room, your pivilages have been suspened for the moment. Though you have failed in your endevors, your friend is merciful." [21:28] * Tabius goes back to his enternal examination and essence manipulation experimentations. [21:28] * Vanal lets Tala out of his room, hoping no-one gets any...ideas [21:29] * Maris looks at him, "Damn you want to play some cards while we wait for him to cool off then?" [21:29] Damn! You even [21:29] He looks at maris oddly, then shakes his head. [21:30] * Maris shrugs and closes the door then goes about closing the door. [21:30] He comes close to you before you close the door, then whispers in a voice you can just make out, a gravelly rumble deep in his throat, "You might want to patch up that hole, Maris. Might let rats through." [21:31] * Maris goes ahead and seals the hole up as well though. [21:31] Goes about cleaning the mess made by the spilling water. [21:31] * Tala goes up on deck casually [21:32] Tala, you are stopped, and ordered to return to your room [21:32] * Vanal pulls out his flute that he (somehow) conned a guard into gettign for him and plays it [21:33] * Tala looks at the guard cooly "Really?" [21:33] the eerie sound of Vanal's fluteplaying covers up the sound of Maris working to repair the wall. [21:33] The guard nods, his arms crossed, blades jutting through the leather bracers covering his skin. [21:34] "And why is that?" Tala's demeanor is too cool, like the ocean around the ship [21:35] He looks at you, then grits his teeth in annoyance. "I don't know Why Tei is letting you off so easily, but we saw you and Vanal in maris' room. I don't know HOW you got out, and frankly, I don't care, but.. damnit girl, get in your room." She tried to seduce me, but it was for completely the wrong reasons [21:51] He shakes his head in worry, though it is obviously not his own soul he is worried about. [00:15] * Maris lets the gaurds lead him to the storage room keeping his clak on. [00:15] * L_Jynaru smilse at his guard. [00:17] as you wind your way through the depths of the ship, your cloak hides your more distinguishing features from view. Of course, the fact that nobody else is wearing a cloak comes up... but nobody seems to inquire. An odd thing, and you notice it immidately, as you follow the imbued guard below decks [00:17] The guard looks at you passively as he walks steadily over to you [00:17] "Well, whatcha wanna know?" [00:17] Must be one of the procedures. [00:18] "Where are we going, why are we going, what's the deal with this being part of the Imperial armada, that sort of thing." [00:19] The guard looks at you, surprised. "What, you don't know?" [00:19] * Maris follows the gaurd toward his stuff. [00:20] * L_Jynaru shrugs. "I was drugged, I woke up, I escaped, I cut down the mainsail, I sat in a cell for a week and some odd days. I've been rather out of the loop." [00:20] You travel through the complex maze of rooms and passageways throughout the ship, and you note the imperial craftsmanship throughout. However, you can tell that this ship was designed for doing this." [00:20] Doing what? [00:21] carrying troops across the sea [00:21] Ah. [00:22] Jynaru: You get told where you're going (Island of twilight tears), and why (drop you guys off, so that you aren't annoying as hell), but he just grins about why it's part of the Imperial Fleet. "Ah, you see, there are some things that we just don't talk about. Even to each other." [00:23] "Oh, come on. I'm apparently being dropped off on the island of no return! What's the harm in telling me?" [00:23] Maris, you eventually come to a door somewhere near the bottom of the ship. The two guards at the door stand aside for the imbued, and he walks you in, and then shuts the door carefully behind him. [00:23] * Maris eyes the room to see if his artifacts are in here as well. [00:24] "And for that matter, why go to all this trouble? Why aren't we, you know, dead? I've found dead people don't annoy me much." [00:24] there is a large chest in the middle of the room, it looks like it is made out of pine and redwood, with jade trim and elaborately inlaid orichulum. [00:24] "Is it in there?" [00:25] "Yeap, that's the chest. It's got everything you guys had on you inside of it. [00:25] "It jsut open?" [00:26] The guard looks around, then shrugs. "I don't know why. It's better not to ask some questions." He looks around, then pulls out a small bag. "You see, the reason we're all doing this... is because what is inside this bag." [00:27] He hands you the bag. [00:27] "I wouldn't smoke any of that shit if I were you." [00:27] * Maris waits for an answer from his gaurd. [00:28] The guard nods. "I've gotta open and close it though, It's rigged to the firepowder casks. If it's open to long, or the wrong person opens it... boom." [00:28] * Cicada looks furtively at her lord across the table. As if there is something she wishes to tell him. Then lowers her head again with an almost inaudible sigh. [00:28] "Firepowder Casks?" [00:28] (Is that don't smoke it thing directed at me?) [00:29] He nods. "Yea, they're distributed around the ship. they're all below the waterline, so if any of them go off, it'll probably be doom for us all." [00:29] [00:29] "LInked with magic?" [00:31] Jynaru, inside the bag is a small, dark red dust, like a fine powder. small tendrils of black smoke start drifting it's way out of the bag, curling upwards towards your face...." [00:32] "And how long we got tell we have to close it again?" [00:32] The guard looks aroud, then carefully places his hand on top of the chest. It glows for a moment, the orichlum channeling essence from the plate at the top through the jade bars, until finally, it stays glowing, and the imbued grabs the lid and picks it up. [00:32] "Five, supposedly ten minutes. Best not to test it." [00:33] * Vanal smiles at Shakel and gives her a peck on the cheek "Feeling better now, my dear ?" [00:33] * Maris looks inside and starts lifting out bags and stuff looking for his stuff. Letting his essence flow like usual into the thing he quickly turns and strikes the gaurd in the back as soon as the fool closes the door. He activates moutain toppling method as he does so though.
