[23:13] <Tala> The casual talk of Jynaru's dealings w/ Sidereals and 'finding a Lunar to help' were the straw
[23:13] <Storylteller> well sidereals aren't anathema
[23:13] <Storylteller> but yea it is a bit much
[23:15] <Tala> She wouldn't know what a sidereal was, except for the refrences in the conversation, they must be some sort of anathema
[23:15] * Storylteller nods
[23:15] <Tala> actually, the casual use of the phrases 'solar' 'lunar' and 'sidereal' is interesting
[23:16] <Storylteller> it is.. wondering what is up with them.
[23:16] * Storylteller would think they would be a bit more kill kill kill but then they were never the most normal group of DBs
[23:16] <Tala> She goes further than just outside
[23:17] <Tala> oh and "celestial sorcery"?
[23:17] * Storylteller shrugs
[23:17] <Storylteller> what else are they going to say?
[23:19] <Tala> how does he know a specific celestial circle spell?
[23:19] <Storylteller> you know those artifacts that let you cast spells one rank higher than normal?
[23:20] <Tala> i've read about the one that lets you do that
[23:20] <Storylteller> yeap
[23:20] <Storylteller> so he spent his time learning sorcery
[23:21] <Tala> So he has brigid's mantle?
[23:21] <Storylteller> nah
[23:21] <Storylteller> less powerful artifact
[23:21] * Storylteller figures it'll drive him insane eventually
[23:24] <Tala> but how does he know the names of specific spells?
[23:24] <Storylteller> I'm assuming heptagram training + additional lore
[23:26] <Tala> Why would heptagram training give him any specific knowledge of celestial circle sorcery spell names?
[23:26] <Storylteller> probably wouldn't really
[23:26] * Storylteller shrugs
[23:26] <Storylteller> what am I going to do, slap him for referring to something by it's name?
[23:27] * Tala warns his PCs then docks xp if it continues

[23:28] <Storylteller> there's also the fact that he knows the spell in question
[23:29] <Storylteller> but enough of that, everyones entitled to their little secrets.

[00:06] <Tala> What does she look like to All Encompassing Sorcerer's Sight?
[00:07] <Storylteller> she looks like a giant dragon superimposed upon a human being
[00:07] <Storylteller> maybe twice her normal height
[00:08] <Storylteller> "What did it say to you?"
[00:08] <Tala> "What are you? I can see that you are not human."
[00:09] <Storylteller> "I'll explain it all to you, just come on, we have to talk." She takes your hand and points towards a nearby alley
[00:10] * Tala would not let her get that close after seeing the spirit inahbiting her
[00:10] <Storylteller> She nods then and suggests that you follow her
[00:12] * Tala follows her, but maintains what she feels is a safe distance, and slips on her right claw
[00:13] <Storylteller> Once you are in the alleyway she looks around to make sure you're not being observed.
[00:14] <Storylteller> "We don't have a lot of time and I can't really explain myself right now. If I changed into my true form then it would give me away, and I am not sure I want anybody to know I am here yet."
[00:15] <Tala> "I see your true form. What are you?"
[00:15] <Storylteller> "I am a (indecipherable old language), or as it is said in the old tounge," <OR> "a Dragon King
[00:16] <Storylteller> "Tabius tells me that my kind has died out long ago."
[00:16] <Storylteller> "But I do not know.. I have slept for a long time."
[00:17] * Tala doesn't speak old realm

[00:21] <Storylteller> "That is what I am.. I take this form to disguise myself while I see how the world has changed."

[00:25] <Tala> "It said that all was well. It said that I could leave if I wanted. It also believed I was afraid."

[00:28] <Storylteller> "Is there anything you might have done to attract the attention of spirits?"
[00:29] <Storylteller> she looks at you as if she is trying to read your very soul
[00:30] <Tala> "I have dealt with spirits in the past. Both peacefully and... otherwise."
[00:31] <Storylteller> she nods.
[00:31] <Storylteller> she looks around for a minute
[00:32] <Tala> [if she used a charm on me i should have seen the essence]
[00:32] <Storylteller> she didn't
[00:32] <Storylteller> she looks back at you
[00:33] <Storylteller> "The thing that is possessing the empress is a demon."
[00:34] * Tala nods
[00:34] <Tala> [did my AESS see it? Dang i should have asked]

[00:35] <Storylteller> "Now pray tell me why is a demon trying to possess a solar, and get them to cut it off from her lord?"
[00:36] <Tala> "It wants them to go to its master's lair to fight it."
[00:37] <Storylteller> "yes... that is a most dangerous place..."
[00:38] <Storylteller> "If they go they will not stand against it for long."
[00:38] <Storylteller> "<old realm> is growing too strong, I can feel him even now.
[00:38] <Tala> "I'm sorry but i do not know that tongue."
[00:39] <Storylteller> "Fallen Tounge.. I think is what they were calling him."
[00:40] <Tala> "If all of these people charge into his domain then they are doomed."
[00:40] <Storylteller> "Maybe..."
[00:41] <Storylteller> "The manse must be reclaimed... that much is obvious."
[00:41] <Storylteller> "But if she knows, then he knows. Even if he is sleeping."
[00:44] <Tala> "And if he has more minions capable of possessing bodies..."
[00:45] <Storylteller> she nods
[00:46] <Storylteller> "I have to watch her, but I can't all the time."
[00:46] <Tala> "I find the irony of having to save one evil force from another most disturbing."
[00:47] <Storylteller> "Excuse me?
[00:47] <Tala> "We must break the demon's hold over her, no?"
[00:47] <Storylteller> "Yes. I think I could reason with her. I knew her as a child."
[00:49] <Tala> "The woman or the demon...or the Anathema... the spirit possessing the woman?"
[00:49] <Storylteller> "? the solar."
[00:51] <Tala> "I believe they call themselves that. In any case, you agree that the demon must be destroyed?"
[00:51] <Storylteller> "Yes, it cannot be allowed to break free after all this time.. it would be catastropic."
[00:53] <Storylteller> "I need you to help me watch her, Tala."
[00:53] <Tala> "Obviously, but I was refering to the more immediate problem of the one possessing the empress."
[00:54] <Storylteller> She nods
[00:55] <Storylteller> "I would want to capture the spirit first."
[00:55] <Storylteller> "To find out what it knows."
[00:55] <Tala> "I believe I could bind the demon, if it is not too powerful."
[00:56] <Storylteller> "Hmm. We'll have to give it a try then."
[00:56] <Storylteller> "Do you know where the cove is?
[00:57] <Tala> "Yes, why? Isn't the empress and her demon-rider locked securely within the palace?"
[00:59] <Storylteller> "No.. she's leaving. They're all leaving together, back to maris' camp to gather his armies."
[00:59] <Storylteller> "Vanal has pledged his troops in the war to defeat fallen tounge in exchange for Maris' freedom."
[01:01] <Tala> "Yes. He mentioned something of that plan. But you mentioned a cove."
[01:02] <Storylteller> "Apparently the demon hopes to shell out her victim permanatly, but in order to do that she needs to return to her lair."
[01:02] <Storylteller> "I cannot stand by and let her do that to the girl."
[01:02] * Tala shakes her head. "We must move swiftly then. The camp is not far from the city."
[01:04] <Tala> "I would rather not fight the demon in its lair."
[01:04] <Storylteller> "You won't have to. I just want to see what it is."
[01:05] <Tala> "I know of A cove."
[01:06] <Tala> "I felt an evil presence there."
[01:06] <Storylteller> "Hmm... where was it?"
[01:07] * Tala describes the area
[01:07] <Storylteller> [the one to the east?]
[01:07] <Tala> "I could tell that it was a demense."
[01:07] <Tala> [where she was going to study essence but you said it was all tainted]

[01:14] <Storylteller> she notes that's probably kinda far away to be this one's lair, if it hopes to reach it in a matter of days
[01:16] <Tala> "We should start moving."
[01:16] <Storylteller> allright
[01:17] <Storylteller> you follow them then?

[01:17] <Storylteller> do you want to tell the dragon king anything?
[01:17] <Storylteller> (he will reveal his true form when he thinks it is private)
