[23:19] * Maris looks for Tei. [23:19] Tei is nowhere in sight, sound, smell, or whatever other sense you happen to have [23:19] * Maris yells out for him. [23:19] there is no response [23:20] * Maris sighs and with an almost reluctant air plunges his hand into the crack to see if he can't find Tei in it. [23:22] the crack seems to go for a long way.. [23:22] it could be some kind of tunnel [23:23] * Maris yells into it, "Tei you in there?" [23:23] no response [23:23] the walls of the cavern seem to absorb your shouts, leaving only silence [23:23] * Maris sighs and pushes his way in not wanting to go back empty handed. I can bring over 3 legions worth of troops to bear. I'm sure given some time I can bring even more. Allow me passage to the pass and I'll help you defend it. Together with your people we can take out the demon possessed ones. Surely you can see by our actions today that we are no friends of the demons." [23:55] She nods slowly [23:56] "I don't want anything other then the destruction of the demon right now. Jynaru can get some or your strongest people behind them and together we can pincer them and destroy their city." [23:57] "Right now, we make good allies, yes. Later... it may not last. Are you willing to swear fealty to the solar council?" [23:57] "What garuntee do we have you will not turn that army on us?" [00:00] "Fealty? I don't trust Solars. I never will. But then I don't trust anyone and I likely never will. I am a king. I will treaty with you. I will even swear to leave your island alone for a generation at least after the conflict is done. But Fealty is not something I will give you." [00:01] "I see." [00:01] she is silent for a minute." [00:01] "And will your comrades be willing to swear such oaths?" [00:03] * Maris thinks, "I can ask them if you wish. They do not control the army though." [00:03] She nods slowly. [00:03] "It would not be such an issue, if not from whence you came" [00:04] "From where I will likely will go back to. Right now we are too worried in our own lands to bother with yours. You are too far for us to visit you for centuries yet. Centuries you will not have if you do not take my help." [00:06] "This is true." [00:06] She shakes her head. [00:07] "If the demon is defeated, then we might be able to lower the barrier.. even so, I do not know how it would be done. It may take some time." [00:07] * Maris nods, "Get me out of here and I would be very greatful. Perhaps greatful enough to ensure your centuries turn into millenia." [00:07] ((ammend me to us)) [00:08] She sighs. [00:08] "I wish I could take your word. But we cannot risk the legions of the empress arriving on our doorstop." [00:10] "The Empress is gone. She's been gone a while. Perhaps you can help assure that the new one isn't so badly disposed to you." He says this without moving though he's confident in what he says and ideas for in his head. [00:12] "The empress.. is gone." she looks at you rather disbelieving. "After a rule of 700 years? And thew new one isn't so adamant about the solar purge?" [00:13] "The New one hasn't been chosen yet. But I'm sure one can be found who doesn't look so fondly on the Order and their ideas. If they can be properly convinced." [00:14] "I.. see.." With my friends back there and perhaps help from other sides I don't see how that's at all impossible. [00:17] She considers it silently. "Perhaps. There is much to do." [00:19] * Maris nods, "Yes there is. But that's the future. Of my armies and the pass? Can we travel there undisturbed?" [00:19] she nods [00:20] * Maris nods gladly, "Good." [00:20] "I will make arrangements. Can you make it there on your own?" [00:21] * Maris nods, "We can make it. Your lands are not nearly tough enough to trouble my horde.
