[22:30] [Storyteller] The statue no longer looks like a statue; the sun has moved, and clouds have changed, and the light falls more clearly on it now, and you see it is not a statue but indeed just a very strangely shaped vein of orichulum
[22:31] * Tabius looks over the edge of the cliff and tries to figure out a way to help those climbing.
[22:32] * Tala tries to climb to where the others are
[22:32] * Maris grits his teeth and shoves essence through his body in order to activate Mountain Toppling Method. As the strength grows in his body he punches his right claw into the rock to create a handhold for himself. He uses this to climb straight up pounding out a ladder of handholds as he goes.

[22:33] * Tala puts on her razor claws and drives them into the rock, using them to give herself a better handhold in her climbing

[22:36] [Storyteller] You're smack dab in the middle of a two kilometer climb. You can go a km up or a km down. You can go towards the ledge, eventually working your way around towards Jynaru and Tabius (50 suc), or you can work your way towards Vanal and Tei (20 suc)

[22:41] [Storyteller] [Vanal] "We should get over there as fast as we can, Tei. This part of the ledge isn't going to last very well."

[22:41] * Maris sighs and spits into his hands and rubs them together for friction. He then looks up plans the best ascent he can and then precedes to make his way up as best he can.

[22:59] [Maris] "I'm not sure how many people made it but I don't have high hopes for the unexalted.'
[22:59] * Maris says this last sorrowfully.

[23:00] [Storyteller] The shake there heads sadly.
[23:00] [Storyteller] "We will send for a climbing crew to rappel down and see what is happening."

[23:01] [Maris] "The cliff top. Is there a path to get up there?"
[23:01] * Tala condenses some of the stuff from the other's saddlebags (ie making sure anything they might not want to lose is taken) into as few bags as possible, including slicing open the bottom of the locked bag and getting the bundle there

[23:01] [Maris] "Alright let me get the others who can make it there now."

[11:52] [Storyteller] Okay, after retrieving some horses, you ride back along the road from which you came. An hour later, and you see what can only be a Wyld Hunt along the road coming from the north, then down eventually to the road you are on, and finally to Malkor's guard.

[11:52] * Maris sighs glad to know they got some help finally.
[11:53] [Maris] "You think Cicada's with them then?"
[11:53] * Maris looks over the Hunt in the distance.

[11:53] [Tabius] "Not likely, she would have come back here and waited or gone forward.
[11:53] [Storyteller] The Wyld Hunt monks are clad in white cloaks, large numbers of load-bearing animals (some rather large ones, for being in the Realm, Yeddim and horses)
[11:53] [Storyteller] The ones on the outside are clearly trained for battle, and armed for it
[11:54] [Storyteller] You estimate their total force at the equivalent of a Legion, sans archers.
[11:54] [Maris] "Well let's try and find her then."
[11:54] [Maris] "The town's pretty safe in those guys hands.
[11:54] [Tabius] "Agreed."
[11:54] * Maris keeps going on.
[11:54] [Storyteller] Where are you going towards Maris?
[11:55] * Vanal nods
[11:55] [Maris] To where Cicada left us and then on a path towards where Tabius saw the fires.

[11:55] [Storyteller] the Immaculate Order is using a road that is coming from that direction
[11:55] [Vanal] "My men will be grateful to the support. Though if I know things...I will have some brawls to clear up when I get back."

[11:56] * Tabius rides along looking for anything that might be a clue as to her where abouts.

[11:56] [Storyteller] After about an hour you meet. Three of the immaculate monks stop and watch you as you come, and the rest march on.

[11:57] [Storyteller] The Wyld hunt will take hours to pass

[11:58] [Storyteller] Well they are on a road, and walking, and there is a whole legion of them

[11:58] [Tei] (close to 5,000 people)
[11:58] * Tabius looks on as they go all but calculating in his head the massive amounts of jade this costs.
[11:58] [Storyteller] if you sat here and watched, you could probably wait at least five hours for the whole thing to pass.
[11:59] [Maris] K. But how long will we have to share the road with them?
[11:59] * Jynaru watches them pass by idly, and wonders about the campfires.
[11:59] * Maris rides up to the three monks.
[11:59] [Storyteller] Well, that depends where you are going.
[11:59] [Vanal] "Perhaps they were the source of the fires last night ?"
[11:59] [Storyteller] If you're going to Malkor's Guard, the whole way

[12:00] * Tabius to one of the Immaculates that stopped, will ride closer and over the din of 5000 marching people ask about Cicada giving a good description.

[12:00] [Storyteller] If you were going towards where cicada was heading, maybe two hours.

[12:00] * Maris let's Tabius ask about Cicada.
[12:01] [Storyteller] The three shakes their heads. One of the monks say "There were a few thieves caught last night, and a few messengers, but I was not told their names and did not see them for myself."

[12:02] [Maris] "What do you with the thieves?"
[12:02] [Maris] "And who can we ask about the messengers?"
[12:02] [Tala] [getting a drink]
[12:02] * Vanal holds himself back form answering what *his* legion does with thieves
[12:03] * Jynaru shrugs.
[12:03] [Jynaru] (What thieves? Oh, you mean the dead guy.)
[12:05] [Storyteller] "The thieves are given a chance to redeem theirselves while the messengers are generally let a night's rest and sent on their way. If you want to talk to somebody about the messengers, I will try to get the master of the watches."

[12:06] [Storyteller] "They are given a chance to join the Immaculate Order and seek enlightenment for their next lives."

[12:06] [Maris] "Would the Master of the Watch know what happened to them as well?"

[12:07] * Tabius gins and nods his thanks, please do, although I do not know that she would carry a message unless it was for me.

[12:07] * Jynaru is highly amused by this whole thing, and doesn't bother hiding it.
[12:07] [Storyteller] the monk to his right turns and walks into the procession
[12:07] * Maris waits hoping it won't take to long.

[12:08] [Maris] "How many exalted do you have with you?"
[12:08] [Storyteller] A large man with reddish skin follows the man you were speaking to earlier out. He looks at you quietly as he approaches.
[12:09] * Tabius nods his respect to the master.
[12:09] * Maris waits for him to approach him and bows slightly to the man.
[12:09] * Vanal nods
[12:09] [Maris] "We're looking for a women whom might have come to your camp as a messenger or mistaken for a thief."
[12:09] [Storyteller] He stands there and nods. "Can you describe her?"
[12:10] * Maris lets Tabius do so.
[12:10] * Tabius describes her.
[12:10] * Jynaru mutters under his breath. "Mistaken?"
[12:10] [Storyteller] If the fire aspect monk has really good hearing, he also had really good self control.
[12:10] [Storyteller] "A servant of Cathak Tabius?"
[12:10] [Tabius] "yes?
[12:10] * Maris nods
[12:11] [Storyteller] He nods.
[12:11] [Tabius] "Where might she be found?"
[12:11] [Tabius] "Good sir."
[12:11] [Storyteller] "She is currently serving as an acolyte. When we have set up camp at Malkor's Guard I shall bring her to you."

[12:12] * Vanal pauses mid-sip from his canteen and almost spit-takes

[12:12] * Jynaru starts chuckling, and eyes Tab for his reaction.
[12:12] [Storyteller] "She was caught stalking the camp by a sentry. When he tried to detain her for questioning, she resisted and he was forced to subdue her. We had no evidence of her supposed identity."

[12:13] [Maris] "Well at least she lives."
[12:13] [Maris] "Who's leading this expedition, sir?"
[12:13] [Storyteller] "Master Waits for the Lotus Bloom"
[12:14] * Maris nods
[12:14] [Maris] "How far away is he?"
[12:14] [Maris] "There are urgent matters to speak with him of."
[12:14] [Storyteller] "He is roughly in the center of the procession, he will arrive here in a couple hours."
[12:14] [Storyteller] Another monk approaches from the Hunt.
[12:14] * Maris looks to the others.

[12:16] * Jynaru nods. "Yes, I'm sure here tale will be worth the delay."

[12:16] [Storyteller] The monk looks at Maris. "I am Sitting Fawn, I was told Tala had something of importance and I could find her here."

[12:16] * Maris looks about for a good place to sit in the shade and wait for the master to arrive.

[12:18] * Maris smirks at Vanal's remark, (whisper)"The trick is to imagine them all naked. They aren't quite so intimidating when you do that. Though I have to say they'd need some hair to make it fun to imagine them naked."

[12:19] * Maris unsaddles and grabs some food from the saddlebags he had the soldiers pack and sits in the shade and waits.

[12:20] [Storyteller] The other three immaculate monks have since walked away from you and rejoined the procession

[12:21] * Tabius being his invulnerable bronze self dismounts with a thump. He then pats down his horse and partakes of some food.
[12:21] * Jynaru shakes his head again. "I get to hunt down our mysterious Fire Aspect for them. I've got my stuff, but the...package is gone."
[12:21] * Maris watches the Monks pass by, "I don't know if the discipline is worth the abstinence though.'
[12:22] * Maris whistles, "That's not so good then."
[12:22] * Vanal shakes his head "In my case, it ain't."
[12:22] * Jynaru nods.
[12:22] [Maris] "You think they were Immaculates?"
[12:22] [Jynaru] "If I'm missing, that's likely where I am. I'm going to have to "deal" with this."

[12:28] [Maris] "There seems to be more then enough Immaculates to finish this mess."

[13:23] [Storyteller] "They will be part of the demonstration as well.
[13:23] [Maris] "Who's the Demonstration for?"
[13:24] [Storyteller] "The other spirits of the realm. It is our duty to protect the mortals and be the negotiators between the spirit world and this world. We cannot allow spirits to make demands such as they have made and let them get away with it. The spirits will be made an example of, quickly, and then we will leave."

[13:28] [Storyteller] The Master ponders
[13:29] [Storyteller] "I believe I could arrange something like that for heroes such as yourself. But are you prepared to fight the spirits? This will be a battle unlike any you have likely fought before."
[13:30] [Tabius] "What the dragons ask us to do we do, ready or not."
[13:30] [Vanal] "I serve the Realm, sir. When I joined the Legions, I knew the consequences."
[13:30] [Maris] "We fought three anathema to their deaths. I'm sure we could be of use to fighting mere spirits as well."
[13:30] [Storyteller] He nods. "Very well then. I look forward to fighting alongside of you."
[13:30] * Jynaru idly shows his willingness by nodding.
